The site for the proposed University is located around 80 km southwest of Ahmedabad, in proximity to the Dholera Special Investment Region (Dholera SIR), which is being developed by the Government of Gujarat. The site is approximately 15 kms from Dholera SIR, adjoining the Pipali–Fedara Highway, with an entry around 100m wide from the highway to the northern part of the site.

The proposal integrates various conceptual strategies — addressing the integration of blue and green infrastructure and organising the campus as a multi-nodal, modular plan. As part of this, the academic zone is held as a distinct node at one end of the campus, while the residential zone student hostels and staff residences sits at the centre, framed by the academic and research zones around it. Central to this overall strategy is the treatment of non-developable land under the HT lines: rather than leaving it unused, a large portion is proposed as University Forest, turning a constraint into an opportunity for wilderness and the development of lakes, while also enabling efficient stormwater management.

This forest, in turn, becomes the spine of the campus's landscape strategy. A linear network of green and open spaces runs through it, connecting the north and south edges of the site, creating a strong landscape identity, encouraging walking, and reinforcing water management as a continuous system rather than an isolated intervention. Movement across the campus follows the same logic of clarity and separation: the road network is designed as loops with cul-de-sacs, linked through pedestrian pathways, keeping vehicular and pedestrian traffic apart while allowing land parcels for each zone to be clearly defined.
