Six new town planning schemes have been proposed under GTPUD Act for the development plan of Dholera SIR. Of the total schemes, DPC was commissioned to propose the Town Planning Scheme No.5, which spreads across an area of 75 sq. km. It spans over 5 villages and covers approximately 853 plots. The sprawl around the gamtal is reserved as a green buffer zone. Furthermore, there has been an effort to create large plot appropriations for the authority to enable to raise resources and provide public infrastructure in the area to support the industrial development.
