Project Description

The Upper Lake popularly known as Bhojtal is one of the largest man-made lakes in Bhopal serving as a source of potable water for nearly 40% of the city’s population. DPC was one of the few consultants shortlisted at a national level by Government of Bhopal to prepare the conceptual master plan for the Upper Lake.

The project was conceptualized for destination development and environmental upgradation of the lake and its immediate catchment area. A holistic framework was formulated integrating environment, heritage conservation, destination development and public infrastructure concerns. Its programmatic development focused on improving environmental and urban revitalization.
