Project Description
Dharavi slum is one of the largest slums in India. It has an active informal economy in which numerous household enterprises employ many of the slum residents.
The key feature of the Master plan was to integrate these alternative models for redevelopment and release the land for green and open-spaces. The Master plan proposes schematic ideas to re-organise and densify the built-up area with the existing road network system. Schematic programs proposed in the plan focuses to improve the living conditions of the people by strengthening the basic infrastructure facilities.
